Abstract

Classroom Action Research (CAR) is essential for both solving learning difficulties and improving teacher professionalism. As a result, it is critical to understand the teacher's perspective on CAR. The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers' perspectives of CAR understanding and the importance of CAR for career development, enhancing student competency, and institutional quality in Indonesia. The study included 153 teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools in Indonesia. Data was collected using a questionnaire that included both closed and open questions. Respondents were chosen by accident using a sampling procedure. The collected data was then analyzed with the Miles and Huberman model. According to the findings, more than half of respondents said that CAR was essential for career development, student talents, and institutional quality. Despite having done CAR before, more than half of respondents did not have a clear comprehension of it. On the other hand, just about 5% of those who have never used CAR have an unfavorable opinion of it.
