This level of taxonomy involves critical or high-level thinking. A teacher's strong understanding of HOTS allows teachers to identify and integrate learning strategies that are appropriate to learning objectives and create an environment that allows students to achieve those goals. This research was conducted on 67 teachers in Indonesia at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. This research is a qualitative research. The data collection technique in this study is to share a google form containing open-ended questions. The Google form consists of 4 parts, namely the self-identity section, the knowledge section about HOTS, the perception section about HOTS in class and the part about HOTS seminars. This study aims to provide an overview of teachers' understanding of HOTS questions. The data were analyzed using narrative descriptive data analysis techniques with the Miles and Huberman model. This technique focuses on gathering information from different participants and identifying themes, disagreements, and explaining the opinions underlying those behaviors. The study found that 34% of teachers understood what HOTS was all about. Teachers also understand that HOTS learning will affect students' abilities. The students' abilities include the ability to think critically, creatively, problem solving and the ability to reason.
Rahma Nasir Uncok Manigor Jokkas Siahaan Ni Made Intan Kertiyani Manto Lumban Gaol Copyright (c) 2025 Educatie: Journal of Education and Teaching https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-10-13 2023-10-13 1 1 1 8 Negative Reinforcement and English Language Teaching https://www.ojs.laaudere.org/index.php/educatie/article/view/5
The objective of this study is to find out the negative reinforcements given by English Teacher and its influences towards the students’ learning motivation in English Language Teaching. The writer uses the combination of quantitative and qualitative approach in this study. The instruments used in this study are direct observation and open questionnaires that consist of fifteen question items related to students learning motivation in English Language Teaching. The finding result shows that there are some negative reinforcements given by English Teacher to the students, such as a) Giving no praise, b) Reprimand students with a loud voice, c) Stopping student’s ridicule, d) Reading students’ mark in the front of class, e) Always give some text to be translated, f) Taking away the break time for they who did not finish the translation, g) Still Pressure the student to fix their answer, h) Face expression (shaking head, furrowed her brow, and show disappointed face). Those negative reinforcements bring both positive and negative influences towards students learning motivation. Finally, the writer hopes that this finding result can help readers especially the English teacher to consider the proper situation, time, ways and component in giving negative reinforcements.
Lenny Nofriyani Adam Yandris O. As a result, it is critical to understand the teacher's perspective on CAR. The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers' perspectives of CAR understanding and the importance of CAR for career development, enhancing student competency, and institutional quality in Indonesia. The study included 153 teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools in Indonesia. Data was collected using a questionnaire that included both closed and open questions. Respondents were chosen by accident using a sampling procedure. The collected data was then analyzed with the Miles and Huberman model. According to the findings, more than half of respondents said that CAR was essential for career development, student talents, and institutional quality. Despite having done CAR before, more than half of respondents did not have a clear comprehension of it. On the other hand, just about 5% of those who have never used CAR have an unfavorable opinion of it.
Ni Made Intan Kertiyani Uncok Manigor Jokkas Siahaan Rahma Nasir Fajriani Fajriani Copyright (c) 2023 Educatie : Journal of Education and Teaching https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-10-16 2023-10-16 1 1 20 27 Identifikasi Kekerasan Verbal di Desa Bijeli, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara https://www.ojs.laaudere.org/index.php/educatie/article/view/7
This study wants to identify verbal abuse that parents commit on children.
